To enroll in the program, meeting specific criteria is necessary since aviation is a highly regulated industry, and ensuring safety is of utmost importance.
To get accepted into the program, candidates are required to go through a comprehensive assessment process, demonstrating their fitness to become a pilot. Soft skills, special competencies, motivation, and attitude will be evaluated throughout the application process
01
Please fill out the inquiry form, and we will assign you a personal manager at BAA Training. The manager will contact you to provide all you need to know about the Pilot Runway program.
03
Submitting a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate and other documents is mandatory, so you must undergo a special medical examination assessing your physical fitness for the pilot profession.
05
This is a computer-based evaluation of the candidate’s specific personal traits and competencies.
07
During this stage, logical thinking, multitasking ability, reaction speed, and other skills necessary for the pilot profession are evaluated. The test also includes a check of mathematics and physics knowledge.
09
This is the last stage of the selection process, helping the selection specialists make the final decision about the candidate’s suitability for studies. A candidate goes through a conversation with a psychologist and does a final interview, as well as provides relevant references.
02
Your personal manager will contact you via phone at a mutually agreed date and time to discuss the program in more detail and answer to all of your questions, including the funding opportunity.
04
You will need to fill out the candidate application form and submit all the necessary documents for the selection process. At this stage, we will select a mutually acceptable date and time for the assessment.
06
The test consisting of grammar and listening exercises is designed to assess the candidate’s English language proficiency.
08
During the interview with a selection specialist, a candidate’s psychological state and general readiness to start pilot studies and then pursue a career in aviation are evaluated.
The Pilot Runway is an all-encompassing program (ATPL Integrated + APS MCC training + Type Rating + Base training) that takes 2 years to complete. Once you are done, it will allow you to proudly join an airline as a First Officer. Below is a detailed overview of the program content.
838h
╲╱60h
╲╱The Non-Technical Skills (NTS) course is designed to develop skills and competencies that are crucial for a successful career in airlines: leadership, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and more.
The course is prepared according to the latest requirements of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to implement the new training program "Area 100 KSA" (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude).
200h
╲╱The practical part of the program (conducted both in flight simulators and aircraft) consists of:
81h
╲╱The theoretical part of APS MCC training covers topics such as crew resource management, communication procedures, decision-making, and situational awareness in complex flight scenarios. Trainees learn how to work efficiently as a team, manage workload, and effectively handle unexpected situations.
During the practical part of APS MCC training, candidates experience realistic multi-crew flight simulations in a high-fidelity flight deck environment. They engage in scenarios replicating real-life airline operations, including routine flights, emergencies, and abnormal situations.
Theory 106-131h/Practice 36h
╲╱Theoretical and practical Type Rating studies, lasting 6-8 weeks, are conducted in classrooms and in a full flight simulator of a specific aircraft type (A320 or B737) a student is getting prepared to operate. After completing the theoretical part of the course, theory exams are held, after which the student proceeds to flight simulator training. Upon successfully completing the practical training, an examination is conducted by certified examiners from the Civil Aviation Authority.

╲╱Aerodrome training involves practical aircraft type training that takes place in an actual aircraft at an airport. During these sessions, pilots learn take-offs and landings. Typically, 6 take-offs and landings are performed as part of the standard training.
